Father broke into house and sprayed man with fire extinguisher in assault

A father let himself into a family home and sprayed a man with a fire extinguisher after accusing him of assaulting his son. Upon being told there were children in the house he said: "I don't give a f***".

Steven Pesticcio, 63, assaulted Ross Deguara at his Cardiff home on March 26 and caused damage after spraying him with the contents of a fire extinguisher. He came to the address in Rumney also armed with an iron bar and a sledgehammer with which he had planned to use to knock the door down but it was already open.

A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court heard there was an altercation in Cardiff city centre between Mr Deguara and the defendant's son. The two families were known to each other and Pesticcio called Mr Deguara's father and told him: "You're not going to like the look of your son when you see him in the morning."
