High Court rejects CFMEU bid to end federal takeover

Administrators for the embattled CFMEU will complete the job of cleaning up the organisation, a federal minister says, as a legal challenge to a commonwealth takeover was rejected.

The High Court on Wednesday dismissed a case brought by the CFMEU looking to overturn the federal government's decision to place the union's construction division into administration.
