In a tragic incident in the Mojave Desert of California, a helicopter crash claimed the lives of all six individuals on board, including two prominent figures in Nigeria's financial sector. The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board has confirmed that there was precipitation at the time of the crash.
The CEO of Axis Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, along with his wife and their eldest sons, were among those who perished in the crash. Abimbola Ogubonjo, the former chairman of the Nigerian exchange, was also on board the ill-fated flight. The helicopter, an Airbus model, crashed shortly after 10 pm Pacific Central time, near an interstate in Halloran Springs, California, and subsequently burst into flames.
