Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves gets another Street Fighter collab

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is getting another Street Fighter crossover update, with SNK teasing a free content drop that adds new cosmetics, gameplay content, and a fresh boss fight.

SNK’s official Fatal Fury X account confirmed that Collab Vol. 3 will be free and includes new alternate costumes, new Episodes of South Town missions, new collaboration skills, and a special boss called Kage Terry. Previously, CotW added Chun-Li and Ken Masters from Capcom’s series as playable fighters.

The special crossover costumes are for Rock Howard and Preecha, who will dress up as Luke and Juri Han, respectively.

The boss that this collab will bring is an interesting case: JP, Street Fighter 6’s main villain, brainwashed Terry Bogard to do his bidding, and it’s now up to the CotW fighters to stop his rampage. SNK specifically notes that Kage Terry is not a playable character, but the company is known for bringing their evil bosses back as playable fighters, so who knows what the future holds in this regard.

Alongside the game’s second season of DLC, which is already in progress. Kim Jae Hoon is out now as the first Season Pass 2 character, with Nightmare Geese up next. SNK has announced that Nightmare Geese is launching on Feb. 26 at 12 am PT, and the rest of the pass is slated to roll out monthly: Blue Mary in March, Wolfgang Krauser in April, and two unannounced characters in May and June. One of them is likely the Hokuto no Ken protagonist, Kenshiro.

SNK is also pushing a new bundle for players who want to catch up in one purchase. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Legend Edition includes the base game plus Season Pass 1 and Season Pass 2 for $49.99 / €49.99. This is a decent price cut, as the original price was $59.99 for the game’s Special (and only) Edition that bundled the first Season Pass. Season Pass 2 is also available as a standalone purchase for $19.99 / €19.99.

This collab between Capcom and SNK goes both ways, as Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui already made the jump to Street Fighter 6, with the dev team getting praise for their implementation.

SNK hasn’t shared a specific release date for Collab Vol. 3 in its announcement, so it’s likely it comes out along with the Nightmare Geese update, which is launching on Feb. 26.
