A recent fatal fire in Perth highlighted a breakdown in communication between the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Perth and Kinross Council.

A 55-year-old man tragically died following the fire at a flat on Bute Drive in the early hours of March 18.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but is thought to have been accidental.
