Fashion Sakala's disrespect to Celtic will be used by Ange and Rangers know 'the other mob' will be champions – Hotline

Fashion Sakala managed to hit a raw nerve with Celtic fans over his ‘other mob’ jibe ahead of the Viaplay Cup Final. But Hoops supporters reckon the Rangers attacker might only have added a bit to fuel to the fire.

Tim Gibbens emailed: “Tell Fashion Sakala the ‘other mob’ will be champions. There’s more chance of finding a cucumber or tomato in your local supermarket than there is of Rangers winning the title this season.” David Bryce, Troon, said: “The lack of respect shown towards Celtic from Beale and now Sakala calling us ‘the other mob’ will be used as fuel by Ange and the management team to raise motivation levels through the roof to beat Rangers on Sunday! Ange should use the newspaper clippings as his team talk. I can’t remember a Rangers manager or player who showed such disrespect towards us.”

Ibrox punters are feeling confident under Michael Beale. Rab Picken, Essex, said: “Great to see Beale living rent free in Celtic’s heads. Celtic were lucky to get a draw at Ibrox and Beale’s team have not lost since his arrival. Now big Ange wants to leave next season because he knows Beale has his number.”

George Wilson, West Sussex, said: “I can’t believe the arrogance of Celtic supporters. All I’ve heard all week is it will be a walkover for Celtic on Sunday as they are far superior to Rangers. Celtic are only marginal bookmakers favourites but Beale has vastly improved Rangers and as usual in these games it will be whoever turns up best on the day who wins.”

The conspiracy theory stat attack war of words sparked by caller Chris Lowe is rumbling on. Robert Frew, Glasgow, said: “Chris Lowe is the Boris Johnson of the Hotline. If you repeat nonsense often enough, eventually someone will believe you.”

Tam Williamson, Lanarkshire, said: “Rangers fan Chris Lowe must eat, drink and dream Celtic 24/7. He should put his name on the Celtic ticket waiting list for a seat in Paradise as he is obviously suffering from Wrong Club Syndrome.”

Seamus Gallagher emailed: “Our employer is running a raffle for when James Tavernier gets his usual penalty. All proceeds to good causes and it's good less fortunate people benefit out of this weekly penalty.”

Helen McLean, via email, said: “How can it be possible that the team in second place in the league is on plus seven penalties awarded, and the team in first place who do by far the most attacking in the league are on minus two penalties awarded? Also, the second place team about to break the record for games since a penalty awarded against them set by – wait for it – them. This needs investigated now.”

Bud Hay, Dumfries, said: “All you Rangers supporters will be putting your money on Rangers to get a penalty or a sending off as it’s the only chance they might have a chance of beating the champions.”

Meanwhile Neil Renton, Edinburgh, said: “I’ve got a feeling Rangers are going to get hammered by Celtic on Sunday. So much so I can see the Ibrox club releasing a DVD of the goal they gave Partick Thistle to paper over the cracks.”

Killie lost their appeal against Kyle Vassell’s harsh red card last week. But Tom Paterson, Falkirk, said: “Kyle Vassell’s red card should have been rescinded. He had his eye on ball the whole time, with no intent or aggression If that had been any Old Firm player it would have been rescinded – but the co-called smaller clubs get walked over.” Turns out it’s a conspiracy against all the clubs.
