A thief tried to escape a Farmfoods store with four boxes of teabags before reportedly sending a brave shopworker "flying" as she tried to stop him.
Shoppers at the store, in St Helens, described witnessing the shocking incident on Wednesday, February 23.
Those at the scene said a 'tall, skinny' man attempted to make off from the store with the four boxes of tea bags before being challenged by the woman.

When confronted, the man began to run and shoved the member of staff into a stack of food "without a care for her safety"
A shocked bystander described the victim as "crazy but brave" in a Facebook post, and condemned the actions of the alleged shoplifter.
The member of staff managed to reclaim two of the boxes, however the thief allegedly made off with two.
Replying to the post, one person said: "She shouldn't be risking her safety for four boxes of tea.
"What if she had been seriously hurt? Let them take the tea, let the police deal with it, it's not worth your safety."
While another added: "It is something I would have done in the past .not now I have tackled a few shop lifters .Not worth it now .You don't know if they have a knife."
Merseyside Police were approached for a comment, Farm Foods declined to comment on the incident.
