AMBALA: The farmers associated with Pagdi Sambhal Jatta Kisan Sangharsh Samiti Haryana (PSJKSS) supported by Bharatiya Kisan Union Shaheed Bhagat Singh (BKU SBS) were stopped from proceeding to Chandigarh in Shahzadpur police station area on the National Highway (NH) 7 by the Ambala police on Monday.
About a week ago, PSJKSS started a march towards Chandigarh for their demands and on Monday, they resumed their walk towards the state capital from Gurdwara Panjokhra Sahib in Ambala, where they had reached on Sunday for a night stay. The farmers of this group are demanding compensation for flood loss and loss caused by pink bollworm.
