Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) 2026 runner-up Yvonne has revealed whether or not she’s been in contact with Farmer Jarrad after she brutally dumped him in the finale.
ICYMI, FWAW Australia has officially wrapped for 2026 with all five farmers making their decisions. But of course, it’s truly not a finale without some kind of major drama, right?
Well, on Sunday night’s shebang, Farmer Jarrad’s final decision was thrown into a tizzy after Yvonne interrupted him mid-speech, only to dump him (and honestly, it was a slay).
Prior to the major decision, Yvonne pointed out the lack of affection Jarrad gave her during their final date. Not even a snog was shared ahead of the big decision.
“Meeting my family didn’t go as well as I thought it would. But also, the date afterwards wasn’t as romantic as I would hoped for our last date. There was no hand holding, there was no reassurance from him. I have been tossing and turning, and I think he’s made his decision,” she said.
During the final decision, where she (thankfully) cut him off, Yvonne voiced her grievances and his lack of affection towards her.
“I have vulnerable, and open, and as honest more than I thought I would be, but I don’t feel like you’ve even met me halfway,” Yvonne said.
“I feel like I’ve been begging for answers that I never got. Going to the home visits, I had the feedback from my friends and family, and their feedback has solidified the way that I felt.”
After walking away, Jarrad admitted he was “surprised” by Yvonne’s stunt and that it “would’ve been nice” to tell her all the positives of their journey.
“She obviously picked up she wasn’t the person I was going to pick today,” Jarrad shared.

Speaking to TV Week, Yvonne admitted she hasn’t spoken to Jarrad since the show. However, she’s “stayed very close” with her peers.
“Jarrad and I have gone our separate ways since I said goodbye,” Yvonne told the publication.
“I have stayed very close with all the girls from the show, which has been amazing.”
Reflecting on the dramatic moment, Yvonne admitted it “Was one of the hardest things [she’s] ever done”, but she has no regrets about her decision.
“Some people may have misunderstood parts of me, but a lot didn’t make it to air: conversations about my own past, poetry I’d written for Jarrad, quieter moments with the ladies on the farm, the more empathetic, mothering side of who I am. What people did see was someone who had genuine fun in the process of finding love,” she continued.
While we know that Jarrad doesn’t end up with Yvonne, it’s currently unknown whether or not he and his final pick, Brodie, are still together post-FWAW.
But hey, all things will be revealed at the reunion, which airs on August 2nd on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
