Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) Australia has been rocked by an emotional love letter scandal, and fans are piiiiiised with how it went down.
It appears that we’re nearing the end of this year’s FWAW Australia journey, with clear, strong connections bubbling to the surface.
In the case of Farmer Alex, it’s apparent that he’s incredibly smitten with Eddy, despite their religious differences.
While it’s clear that Alex and Eddy have something going on, the farmer still has two other ladies alongside Eddy that are vying for his heart: Rachel and Suzannah.
Farmer Alex has been quite good at keeping his farm drama-free. However, things took a major U-turn on Monday night’s episode, when Rachel discovered a love letter written by Eddy for Alex.
Oh, and if you thought Rachel was snooping through Eddy’s stuff, she claimed she found the letter in a notebook while looking for paper to write a grocery list, just to clear things up.
In the letter, it’s implied that Alex will pick Eddy at the end, but she hopes he has fully explored his connections with Rachel and Suzannah before doing so.
“She said, ‘We’re still in this experience, and we will be for another three weeks. I obviously like you, but it’s very important to me that we both respect the girls. At the end of this, I want you to choose me knowing that you really explored your connections with the girls and still found ours to be the best,'” Rachel shared.
Rachel went on to spill the scathing tea to Suzannah, causing them to be both pissed off with Farmer Alex, pondering whether or not he’s wasting their time and whispering sweet nothings in their ears.
“I wasn’t expecting it,” Suzannah said of the note.
“I’m definitely questioning Alex’s desire in me. I just don’t know how strong that connection is.”
After returning from their solo date, Rachel immediately pulled Eddy for a chat to confront her over the letter.
In their conversation, Rachel expressed that the love letter has exacerbated her and Suzannah’s worries regarding their connection with Alex. Eddy empathised with Rachel, but stood her ground, saying that everything she wrote “is true”.
“It was never meant to be read,” Eddy said.
After their conversation, Rachel pulled Alex for a chat, begging him for clarity on their connection and calling him out on his favouritism towards Eddy.
“I just feel like you’re not being completely honest with me,” Rachel began.
“You’ve had blinders on the whole time; from the get-go, it’s just been Eddy, Eddy, Eddy. We can see the way you are in group settings and everything.”
Alex claimed that he’s been trying to “get to know” everyone. Rachel fired up, calling him out for “saying a whole lot but saying nothing at the same time”.
“That’s why Suzannah and I are upset, because you say one thing and then your actions speak completely different words,” Rachel added.
After a well-timed commercial break, Eddy fessed up about writing the letter to Alex, and the pair went back and forth on who’s to blame for sending the farm into a tizzy.
Later on, Alex apologised to Rachel and clarified that he was still “open” to exploring his connections with the other two ladies.
“Yes, Eddy and I have really connected,” Alex admitted.
“But if I felt like nothing was worth exploring, Eddy and I would’ve walked,” he continued.
Alex and Rachel ended up hashing it out and finished the conversation with a cuddle. As for Suzannah, she urged everyone to head to bed as emotions were at an all-time high. However, she too is unsettled about where she stands with Alex.
Devastatingly, the next day, Alex admitted to Suzannah that their connection was going nowhere, leading to an unexpected Farm Farewell.
Fans react to the Farmer Wants A Wife love letter scandal
Naturally, the dramatic incident had fans buzzing with a plethora of questions and opinions. Some called out Rachel for reading out the letter, while others questioned why Alex hasn’t just picked Eddy now.
“Who reads another person’s diary? So there was not one sheet of paper throughout the house, except her notepad upstairs,” one person wrote on a FWAW Facebook fan group.
“Terrible invasion of privacy. She should be ashamed of herself. Very wrong,” another wrote.
“There was no reason for her to read the letter. If you want paper to do a shopping list. Open the book, get the sheet of paper and put the book down. It’s rude to read others’ personal stuff,” wrote a third.
Some fans argued that the whole love letter incident was all fake and something producers brewed up for our entertainment.
“Such a plant by producers,” one wrote.
“That letter was a plant by producers,” another argued.
Ayiyiy. Regardless of whether it’s real or not, FWAW 2026 has truly surprised me with this year’s non-stop drama.
