Farmer unions to gherao Chandigarh to press demand for compensation of crop loss due to floods

CHANDIGARH Haryana Himachal Pradesh Jind Punjab

JIND: As many as 16 farmer unions decided to gherao Chandigarh on August 22 to press the demand of compensation for loss occurred due to flash floods in northern states including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh (UT) and Utrakhand, said farmer unionists on Saturday.

Suresh Koth, state president of bhartiya kisan mazdoor union accompanied by Randhir Chahal, Kulbir Malik, Ashok Balhara and few other leaders stated that preparations are being done for "Chandigarh kooch".
