Manchester City fans have been sending in their tributes and well wishes to Fernandinho who has revealed he will not be renewing his deal at the club this summer.
The 36-year-old wishes to return to his native Brazil in a bid to play more regular football. The defensive midfielder will go down as one of the greats at the club having won four Premier League titles, six League Cups and an FA Cup.
He was also instrumental in the club’s run to the Champions League final last year, and will hope to finally lift the trophy this time around. Fernandinho is currently City ’s club captain and longest-serving player, having played 373 matches in his time at the Etihad.
