A FAR-RIGHT Israeli minister has deleted a video in which he gloated about a gallows complex being constructed to hang Palestinians.

Israeli national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said the new execution site would be equipped with viewing booths, The Guardian reports.

The outlet shared several clips from the video, which The National understands has now been deleted from social media platforms after it was posted on Tuesday.

In the video, Ben-Gvir can be seen in an unidentified location pointing at foundations being laid and boasting that it was where "terrorists will be executed".

He said: “I promised to worsen the conditions of terrorists in prisons – we kept it.

“I promised to pass the Death Penalty for Terrorists law – we did. And now the death row and hanging facility are also starting to take shape.”

Earlier this year, Israel passed a law that makes the death penalty the default sentence for Palestinians convicted as "terrorists".

However, Jewish Israelis who commit acts of terrorism will not face the death penalty due to a provision that applies the law only to murder committed with the "intent to deny the existence of the state of Israel".

After the vote was passed, Ben-Gvir was seen in the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, brandishing a champagne bottle in celebration.

He was also pictured celebrating his 50th birthday in May with a birthday cake decorated with an iced image of a noose.

Ben-Gvir was sanctioned by the UK Government last year over comments about Gaza. He was accused of "incit[ing] extremist violence and serious abuses of Palestinian human rights".

Earlier this week, The National told how Ben-Gvir publicly advocated killing "30 to 40" people in Gaza every night, claiming that they are "not worthy of life" and that they are "not even people".

He said: “I think targeted assassinations should be carried out in Gaza, taking down 30 to 40 every night.

"Not just those who pose an immediate threat – there are people there who are not worthy of life.

“They shouldn’t live. They’re not even people.”
