FPL tips: Who to buy in Arsenal and Liverpool’s double gameweek 25

The Fantasy Premier League action resumes this weekend, with players needing to be wary of an early FPL deadline due to a Friday night fixture between Fulham and Wolves.

It will be tempting to use a free hit card to get as many Arsenal, Liverpool, Wolves and Everton players in as possible, while Manchester United, Newcastle, Brentford and Brighton are all out of action due to the Carabao Cup final.

An early deadline of 6.30pm GMT on Friday means managers have to think fast with their transfer picks. Here are ours:

Darwin Nunez - Liverpool - £8.7m

What to do with Liverpool this gameweek? The defence cannot be trusted and goals are not coming from midfield, so your best bet is the frontline. Nunez has back-to-back goals while Cody Gakpo, who is a midfielder in FPL, is also a decent shout for a double gameweek.

Eddie Nketiah - Arsenal - £6.8m

Now what to do with Arsenal? Again, a suspect defence will be tested by Leicester away at least, although Everton at home could be a banana skin. You should already have your pick of Bukayo Saka/Martin Odegaard/Gabriel Martinelli, with the Brazilian looking better for his rest when coming off the bench last week. For a double gameweek, Nketiah could complete your Gunners trio.

Ruben Neves - Wolves - £5.4m

The striking options are pretty bleak for Wolves, whose top forward in FPL has 12(!) points. Neves is on penalties and has a low ownership, so is a good, cheap option for your midfield - particular if free-hitting.

Alex Iwobi - Everton - £5.4m

Everton’s trip to Arsenal may not yield much but facing Aston Villa at home on Saturday has big potential with Iwobi on a low-key decent tally of seven assists for the year.
