Fantasy Premier League is back for a midweek round that will once against test managers to the fullest.
Manchester City and Arsenal sit gameweek 12 out, leaving practically every FPL player without roughly four or five star men from their squad. Furthermore, plenty of teams have been forced into emergency action following the injury to popular Chelsea defender Reece James.
No worry, Standard Sport is here to help you negotiate this tricky GW12 with our top transfer tips before the 6pm BST deadline today.
Mohamed Salah - Liverpool - £12.7m
Remember Mohamed Salah? That FPL player you literally had to have up until about eight weeks ago when we all hitched our captain’s armbands to the Erling Haaland bandwagon. Well, he’s back. A hat-trick in Europe and the winner past City on the weekend shows, in this gameweek of all gameweeks, he is once again a fundamental component.
Kieran Trippier - Newcastle - £5.7m
Speaking of fundamental components, you will have done well to only just discover Trippier’s ability to hoover up points at both ends (or, in reality, you will have done badly). Seven bonus points, five clean sheets, two assists and a goal in his 11 games make him an essential ahead of facing Everton at home.
Dominic Solanke - Bournemouth - £5.8m
Lacking a great defence or an assist-hungry midfielder, Bournemouth fly under the radar in FPL but striker Solanke is on a run of three assists and a goal in his last two games. Troubled Southampton are next up at the Vitality.
Ben Chilwell - Chelsea - £5.8m
James’ injury could lead to more guaranteed game time for left wing-back Chilwell with Marc Cucurella more often required in the centre of defence. Yet to truly show his worth in terms of points, he offers good differential potential for one of the few top teams in action this gameweek.
Aleksandar Mitrovic - Fulham - £6.7m
After over a million net transfers out of FPL squads, Mitrovic burst back onto the scene (after only one game away, remember) to score on the weekend and Fulham host struggling Aston Villa on Thursday. There is no shame in going back to him so soon...
