Fantasy Premier League 2023-24 prices revealed as Erling Haaland equals game record

Erling Haaland has been named as the most expensive Fantasy Premier League asset ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

The Manchester City forward was the top-scoring player in the game last term, having totalled 272 points courtesy of 36 goals and nine assists. He averaged over seven points per-start and ended the season with a price of £12.4m, after starting at just £11.5m following his move from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

Unsurprisingly, Haaland has got a huge price increase and will start the campaign at a record-equalling £14m. He becomes only one of four players to begin a season at that value, alongside Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite his huge price hike, not many managers will not go without the Norwegian for City's favourable-looking start to the Premier League season, which gets underway on August 11 with a trip to newly-promoted Burnley. Pep Guardiola's side also face Newcastle, Sheffield United, Fulham, West Ham and Nottingham Forest in their opening six matches as they look to secure their fourth successive Premier League title.

Mohamed Salah's price was also revealed by Fantasy Premier League as they prepare for the new season. The Liverpool forward has dropped to £12.5m - a £0.5 decrease from his starting value last term. Salah finished 33 points behind Haaland on 239, having scored 19 goals and grabbed 12 assists in 2022/23.

As for other big-name assets that were announced on Monday afternoon, Bruno Fernandes ' new price has sent shockwaves across the 'FPL community'. The Portugal international will start the season at a lowly £8.5m, despite registering 16 goal contributions for United.

Although that is fewer than his two previous full seasons at the Red Devils, Fernandes will become an integral asset to many teams come the start of the campaign. He likely to be on penalties and takes the majority of United's set pieces. Erik ten Hag's start have a favourable start, with Wolves and Nottingham Forest at home in their first three, while a trip to Tottenham is sandwiched in that run.

Another FPL favourite Son Heung-min has also drastically reduced in value to £9.0m - despite ending the season at a whopping £11.5m. A drop for Son is understandable given he scored 10 times and provided six assists, but many were surprised to see how low he has dropped to.

Martin Odegaard endured a breakthrough FPL campaign last season, having amassed the fourth-most points in the game with 212. The Norway international scored 15 goals and grabbed seven assists in 2022/23 and has been priced at a reasonable £8.5m.

Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m), Ollie Watkins (£8.0m), Carlton Morris (£5.5m), Iliman Ndiaye (£5.5m), Bryan Mbuemo (£6.5m) and Eberechi Eze (6.5m) were amongst the others to see their price revealed on Monday.
