Fantasy football Week 13 studs, duds and sleepers: Don’t sleep on Mike White this Sunday afternoon

When it comes to competition, one of the best ways to get an edge on the opposition is through prior preparation. In fantasy football, that way of thinking certainly applies. Here at Bet For The Win, we’re doing the preparation for you.

Believe it or not, the final third of the NFL season is officially here. With 15 games on deck for Week 13, there’s nearly a full grouping of NFL players ready to make or break fantasy football managers’ week.

We will walk you through which players could flourish and which ones you should probably stay away from ahead of this week’s action.

Here are Week 13’s projected studs, duds and sleepers.

Studs

(Joe Rondone/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK)

QB Justin Herbert – Los Angeles Chargers

It hasn’t been difficult for opposing quarterbacks to put up good numbers against the Raiders’ secondary. Coming off of his best fantasy football performance of the year, which resulted in three touchdown passes, Herbert should maintain his rhythm against Las Vegas this Sunday.

RB Derrick Henry – Tennessee Titans

After another bad performance against the Cincinnati Bengals’ defense, Henry should bounce back in a major way against Philadelphia’s mediocre run defense.

WR Davante Adams – Las Vegas Raiders

Los Angeles’ defense isn’t exactly locking anyone down this season. Don’t expect them to do so in Week 13 against one of the NFL’s best receivers. Adams looks like he could end up as this week’s fantasy football WR1.

TE Travis Kelce – Kansas City Chiefs

The best tight end in football looking for revenge (in his home state) against the team who put him out of the playoffs a season ago? Sign me up.

Duds

QB Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens

It’s never good news for opposing offenses when the Denver Broncos’ defense takes the field. Lamar, with limited reliable pass-catchers, might be in for a weird one in Week 13 as he faces a tough defense.

RB Alvin Kamara – New Orleans Saints

Kamara is still a great player, but his situation isn’t ideal. The Saints’ offense is all over the place and the running game probably won’t get going against this Tampa Bay defense.

WR Michael Pittman Jr. – Indianapolis Colts

It was great to see Pittman Jr. get back on track on Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, I don’t think he’ll have many opportunities to succeed against Dallas. Between the Cowboys’ pass rush and stingy secondary, it might be a long day for the Colts’ pass-catchers.

TE Cole Kmet – Chicago Bears

The touchdown run appears to be over, and if Kmet can’t find the endzone, he shouldn’t be played in fantasy.

Sleepers

QB Mike White – New York Jets

All aboard the Mike White hype train! Look for him to dice up Minnesota’s defense similarly to how he did Chicago’s this past weekend. Because, why not?

RB David Montgomery – Chicago Bears

With Khalil Herbert on the IR, the backfield basically belongs solely to David Montgomery. Over the past two games, he’s carried the football 31 times for 146 yards, has a rushing touchdown and has six catches for 88 yards. That kind of volume is sustainable whether Justin Fields returns this week or not.

WR Tyler Lockett – Seattle Seahawks

Lockett doesn’t catch many passes but he makes sure each reception is a meaningful one. He’s got just 16 catches over the past four games but has scored a touchdown in each contest. Will he keep his streak alive against a Rams team that is basically playing for nothing?

TE Dalton Schultz – Dallas Cowboys

For the Cowboys, you never know who’s going to be on the receiving end of some beautiful Dak Prescott passes. But with three touchdowns over the past three games, there’s a good chance that it’s Dalton Schultz who’s the beneficiary this weekend.
