Fantasy football waiver wire Week 6: Wan’Dale Robinson is intriguing

Week 6 of the 2022 NFL season is nearly over. And what a week of football it was!

If you play fantasy football, you’re already planning ahead with waivers after a busy week of games.

That’s what we’re here for, a roundup of some of the players you could be targeting ahead of Week 7.

Some of the names below might be taken already, but if not, there are a bunch of dudes who could change your fantasy fortunes this season. Let’s run through them, in no particular order, and it’s updated after the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers game on Monday Night Football.

1
WR Wan'Dale Robinson, New York Giants

Yes, the Giants run the ball a lot and Daniel Jones spreads the ball around.

But here’s a rookie with some buzz with an arrow that will immediately point up.

2
RB Kenyan Drake, Baltimore Ravens

The veteran back turned back the clock with a 119-yard performance on the ground with a score after J.K. Dobbins’ knee troubles flared up. Always worth stashing in case Dobbins’ injury woes continue.

3
RB Caleb Huntley, Atlanta Falcons

Tyler Allgeier is still a thing, but Huntley ran 16 times for 59 yards against a tough Niners defense.

4

DeAndre Hopkins is coming back soon, but if Marquise Brown can’t play due to injury in upcoming games, he might be in line for a breakout.

5
WR Tyquan Thornton, New England Patriots

A few things to think about: The Pats’ receivers beyond Jakobi Meyers are a little shaky in fantasy land, but maybe those two touchdowns this week are a start of something? Also, what happens if/when Bailey Zappe gets benched for Mac Jones?

Still, in deep leagues, I’m in.

6
QB Marcus Mariota, Atlanta Falcons

We’ve seen him on this list before. He can run the ball, as you saw in the upset over the Niners, and maybe now that he’s throwing to Kyle Pitts again, he’ll get a boost as a streaming QB.

7
TE Mike Gesicki, Miami Dolphins

He saw a season-high seven targets and caught two touchdowns in Week 6. If you need a tight end, it’s worth seeing if there’s more coming.
