Fantasy Football: Waiver-wire targets for Week 15

The fantasy playoffs are here for must of us and it’s time to buckle down and look at what was an exciting and interesting Week 14. Where we saw some new names enter into our collective fantasy football minds. Injuries and breakout stars are going to send fantasy managers scrambling to waivers this week, and we can fill you in on who to target before waivers clear.

1. Jerick McKinnon, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

With primary starter Isaiah Pacheco set to miss time it leaves a wide opening for the duo of Jerick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire to make up the touches. Edwards-Helaire is the clear lead in touches but McKinnon is the more valuable of his to thanks to where he gets his touches and his explosiveness in the passing game. McKinnon instantly becomes a must start flex option moving forward in PPR leagues.

2. Chase Brown, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

The productive rookie Chase Brown continues to creep in on Joe Mixon’s carries and he is certainly making the most of them. Handling 11 touches for 105 yards last week, Brown has shown to be a viable flex option moving forward. Beyond being a solid flex option, he also becomes one of the most valuable handcuffs in all of fantasy. Go stash him if Brown is still available.

3. Jake Browning, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

Don’t look now but the Bengals’ backup is being every bit of productive as Joe Burrow was from a fantasy perspective. Jake Browning has played extremely well in two starts and boasts five touchdowns in two games. He is surrounded by an elite cast of weapons and is going to continue to be the driving force of this offense. Browning is putting himself up as a potential top ten fantasy quarterback should he keep up his current production.

4. Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings

While it’s certainly difficult to recommend anyone from a Vikings offense that looked as bad as it did last week against the Raiders, running back Ty Chandler has slowly become perhaps their most explosive player. With Alexander Mattison potentially missing time, Chandler would become an instant flex option. Ignore the last game for his production, it was an outlier of bad offense.
