Two Liverpool FC murals were defaced ahead of today's Merseyside Derby.
The murals located on Sybil Street and the corner Anfield Road show Liverpool legends such as Roger Hunt and a three-story high image of Trent Alexander-Arnold. The mural was commissioned by the Anfield Wrap to celebrate the hard work undertaken by the charity Fans Supporting Foodbanks, which brings Red and Blue supporters together to fight poverty in the city.
Murals on the street, including an image of Jordan Henderson lifting the Champions League in 2019, were targeted with spray paint.

The act of vandalism has caused outrage on Twitter where fans both LFC and EFC supporters have voiced their displeasure. One man said: "I remember when both sets of fans stood together with no bother. I mean I even stood in the Gladwys St in the early 80s."
Chair of Fans Supporting Foodbanks Dave Kelly told The ECHO: "It is simple I do not condone or condemn such behaviour but for the last seven years we have run campaigns under the motto 'hunger does not wear club colours'. Whether it is red or blue committing these crimes they need to give their heads a wobble.
"It is just unhelpful and I want to ask fans to grow up and realise that this city is facing times of adversity and there are lots of things going on people going hungry, we have had four murders in the last few weeks. So they need to grow up and be respectful, stop vandalising everything, and put tribal differences aside."
