Since Love Island kicked off its winter edition in South Africa last Sunday, viewers have been commenting on the resemblance between one of the new Islanders and last summer's winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. Fans of the ITV dating show think 26-year-old hair stylist Tanyel Revan is "Ekin-Su 2.0" as the drama gets underway in the famous TV villa.
In Friday night's episode there were tears when she 'stole' Ron Hall from Lana Jenkins during the show's first recoupling, after he ended things with new bombshell Zara Lackenby-Brown in favour of prioritising his budding romance with Lana. Lana cried after Tanyel swooped in, and was clearly rattled as she stood up to pick the boy she wanted to be coupled-up with. "This decision is s***," she said as she picked Will Young.
Over on Twitter, viewers think Tanyel has a striking likeness to Ekin-Su, who went on to win the show with Manchester businessman Davide Sanclimenti after their romance started out on a rocky path when she sneaked away to the terrace to kiss newcomer Jay Younger.

And fans thought actress Ekin-Su, 28, might have been referring to Tanyel when she tweeted on Friday night: "I personally can’t see the resemblance lol." @brendynandjess told her: "Honestly you both dont look similar in the slightest." And @pearl_doc said: "You’re both gorgeous but I don’t see it either!"
@LilyValMeadows commented: "Can see similarities, but you're both definitely different and beautiful in your own ways!" and @sammijayne83 replied: "I think she looks more like Mel Blatt!!!!"
However Ekin-Su then followed her message to talk about chocolate. "I mean the difference between galaxy and cadburys chocolate is kinda the same. Anyway I do love both," she wrote with a love-heart eyes emoji.
Ekin-Su, who is competing in the 2023 series of Dancing on Ice, has received a raft of support from fans after her sexy performance last Sunday sparked 112 Ofcom complaints, and she faces a skate-off this weekend.
She recreated her famous Love Island terrace crawl during her racy routine - which host Holly Willoughby described as the sexiest performance" - on Dancing On Ice to Britney Spears’ hit Toxic. She looked stunning in a jumpsuit designed to be a replica of Britney's bejewelled sheer costume in the Toxic music video.
Ekin-Su scored a total vote of 21.5 points with her skating partner Brendyn Hatfield out of a possible 40 points from the judges. Davide, who was watching from the audience, and Ekin-Su looked shocked at the result.
Speaking on Friday night's The Graham Norton Show judge Oti Mabuse backed Ekin-Su over her performance. Asked by host Graham about the complaints she replied: "It's so exciting to be part of a show that does that."
She explained: "I think people complained about the outfit, how revealing it was, maybe the choreography. But I thought it was really, really sexy. For me to put yourself in that position, to wear an outfit like that ...If I had that body I would wear less."
