Fans of The Chase took to social media to share their delight that one of the quiz show’s regulars, Darragh Ennis, was featured on last night’s episode.
The professional quizzer, 43, who is a long-term member of the ITV gameshow, had viewers not only happy for his return, but also swooning over his appearance.
One fan took to social media, writing: "My days….. Darragh’s looking extremely hot this evening."
Another wrote: "And I think to myself.... what a wonderful Chaser Darragh is.... ooh la laaaaaaaaa...", while a third gushed: "Thank you it's Darragh today." A fourth exclaimed: "Darragh !!!!!!"
The quizzer got off to a good start as he went up against contestants, Gemma, Elizabeth, Sydney and Eden, knocking out the first three almost immediately.
Eden, 20, was the last to participate, managing to obtain £3,000 at that point in the show, and going on to take the high offer of £75,000 without hesitation.
Managing to push competitor Darragh back, the latter was unable to match Eden’s score in the final chase, running out of time with seconds to go.
The show’s host, Bradley Walsh, announced Eden’s win, throwing his arms around the youngster and erupting with joy as he exclaimed: "I can't believe it! Seventy five grand! Who's your best mate?"
Eden replied: "This man!" and gestured to Bradley.
Stunned, the former actor added: "What a show," as Darragh agreed: "What a show, and absolutely brilliantly played Eden.
"You set a very high target, you pushed me back I don't know how many times but enough to win the money. Very well done."
Fans were quick to congratulate Eden’s win, with one stating: "75k Eden!!!!! Totally awesome. Enjoy spending it!!"
A second wrote: "That’s the best episode of #TheChase I’ve ever seen - a 20 year old winning £75,000."
Another viewer echoed: "Wow Eden £75k win aged 20 years on #TheChase Just brilliant!"
While a fourth proclaimed: "I CAN'T BELIEVE I JUST HELD MY BREATH WATCHING THE FINAL CHASE. THAT WAS AMAZING. WOW!!!!!"
