Coronation Street's Faye Windass has been going through a turbulent time on the cobbles with the return of her ex Jackson Hodge from Canada with their daughter Miley. But actress Ellie Leach wasn't having a hair drama as she sent fans wild with a new look.
Earlier this month it was reported that Ellie, 22, who has played Faye in Coronation Street since 2011, was leaving the soap in a huge summer storyline. During her 12 years in the show her character has been through a teenage pregnancy and the early menopause.
Currently Faye is in the middle of a major storyline after being reunited with her daughter Miley, who she had with Jackson when she was 13. The actress is expected to leave the soap this summer, although details are still under wraps.

Ellie, fom Bury, looked a world away from the troubles on the famous street as she smiled serenely with a fresh new do in a picture shared on her Instagram. Her brunette tresses have been transformed with a lighter shade for the spring and cut into glossy layers with a soft fringe.
Her co-star Paddy Bever, who plays Max Turner, exclaimed "Fringe! obsessed! x" And her fellow Corrie favourite cousin Brooke Vincent, who played Sophie Webster, replied with a love-heart eyes emoji.
"The hair," remarked Catherine Tyldesley who played Eve Price in the ITV soap. "Pretty!!!" gasped Chloe Patton. "Wowza," enthused emnaylor. And Miaxedwards posted: "INSANE" with flame emojis.
Coronation Street couple Faye and Craig Tinker have been solid for years, but have hit a rocky patch after Jackson turned her head and meddled in their relationship. Craig, played by Colson Smith, as been feeling a little bit insecure since his long-term partner started getting close with her ex again.
The pair even sneaked away to a bar together and were caught by Craig's mum Beth Sutherland. But Faye reassured Beth that Craig was the only man for her.
However, it turned out that Craig had every right to be worried because Jackson asked Faye to move away with him to start a new life as parents to Miley, who she had given up as a baby to Jackson and his family. In an awkward scene Craig proposed to Faye in front of their loved-ones as Jackson watched.
Then Jackson wound Craig up by saying Faye didn't mean it when she accepted the proposal. After he was told by Faye that her feelings for him had changed over his behaviour, Jackson headed to the Rovers where he got drunk and tried to pick a fight with Craig.
Fans are not impressed with Jackson's behaviour and made a plea to Faye to steer clear. @Winis_World tweeted: "Jackson has some nerve! Faye needs to stop entertaining him."
@RyanTheSoapking said: "I have no sympathy for Jackson at all. She should ditch him. She's spent most of her life away from him since Miley was born." And @demelcy exclaimed: "Faye FFS!!!"
