Fans have been left amazed by Aljamain Sterling's "perfect" impression of UFC superstar Conor McGregor.
UFC superstar McGregor has been a hot topic in the UFC since announcing his comeback to the octagon against Michael Chandler after two years out of the cage. The Irishman has been popping up at several events including Jon Jones' recent win over Cyril Gane at UFC 285 in Las Vegas, where he was filming for his appearance on series The Ultimate Fighter.
He has also stepped up his return to full MMA training where he has been working alongside UFC bantamweight champion Sterling, with the pair sharing pictures together as they worked out. In a recent video assessing Justin Gaethje's win over Rafael Fiziev in London at UFC 286, Sterling decided to turn himself into the UFC superstar for a short period.
While watching the event on a YouTube video and making his live reaction, Sterling shouted in a trademark McGregor Irish accent: "Hey I just feel these guys are not on my level. They are okay but they are just not on my level. I will touch them up to the body and the head will fall."
A fan shared the footage with the caption: "Aljo's impression of Conor McGregor is actually really good." Other fans were quick to flood in and respond to the footage, with one agreeing:"Nah bro that s**t sounded too spot on. This has to be some AI s***, there's no way."
Another fan wrote: "How the hell does Aljo have one of the only super accurate Conor impressions I’ve heard?" One fan was left stunned, adding: "I was f***ing shocked when i heard it lmao." One fan pointed out a number of impressions between MMA fighters, suggesting: "I love when MMA fighters do impressions. Jon Bones' Chael P [Sonnen] impression, Chael P [Sonnen's] Wand[erlei Silva], Bisping's GSP, Usman's Leon’s coach now Aljo's Conor."

One fan was less convinced, joking: "More French Conor than Irish Conor." A fan agreed: This has got to be some sort of inside joke, sounds NOTHING like Conor." A final fan was in support of it, writing: "I wasn't looking I was waiting for the Conor impression after Conor was done talking and said 'Oh that is Aljo talking wtf'.”
McGregor has now finished filming for his coaching stint against Chandler and is hoping to soon make his UFC comeback after a lengthy absence despite a date having not yet been confirmed. It is expected that he will return at 170lb following his weight gain while recovering from the injury, but could face another wait to secure his return outing after learning he will need to be enrolled in USADA drug-testing for six months.
