Royal fans reacted with glee on Saturday afternoon as actor Tom Cruise appeared to be caught 'drooling' over The Duchess of Cambridge at the Wimbledon Ladies' Singles Final.
The Top Gun star, alongside other A-listers in actresses Jodie Comer and Rebel Wilson sat two rows behind Katherine, who stunned from her royal box in a custom-made yellow Roksanda dress.
On court, meanwhile, Kazakhstan's Moscow-born Elena Rybakina beat Tunisia's Ons Jabeur 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, although it was the actions of 60-year old Tom that was the hottest topic of discussion on social media afterwards.
One excited Twitter using commented: "Wow! He is so eyeing Catherine! She must have really made an impression on him at the Top Gun premiere! He looks smitten!"
Another wrote: "I think that's what you call 'major crushing' on the Duchess of Cambridge."
A third added: "He could not resist. She's tall and slim like Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes. We see you Tom...Whoop whoop."
A fourth said: "Tom drooling all over the Duchess of Cambridge again, but seriously who can blame him."
It's not the first time in recent months Tom has appeared in close proximity to Her Royal Highness.
In May he was pictured with both The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they attended the London premiere of his movie 'Top Gun: Maverick'.
The actor subsequently made headlines when he took Catherine's hand in order to help her up the stairs on the red carpet.
Kate will be back at Centre Court on Sunday - this time joined by her husband, the Duke of Cambridge - as they watch the Men's Final between Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios.
Tom, meanwhile, who has spent a lot of time in England lately was joined by a mystery woman at Adele' s Hyde Park gig last week - soon after it had been reported he'd been dumped by his Mission Impossible co-star, Hayley Atwell.
Hayley, 40, is said to have split up with the father-of-one for a second time and has now moved on with self-styled pagan, Ned Wolfgang Kelly.
However, Tom is not one to let the grass grow under his feet and was seen in the company of the mystery brunette.
Smiling excitedly, his companion sported a pink Gucci cardigan, flared jeans and trainers, while he cut a dapper figure in black jeans and a jacket.
The Mission Impossible legend and Hayley reportedly broke up in June, just a few months after getting back together following their first split in 2021.
