Fans at Northwest Stadium outside Washington, DC, paid tribute to former President Jimmy Carter on Sunday by observing a moment of silence before a game. This heartfelt gesture came just hours after the news of Carter's passing.
The timing of the game added an extra layer of significance to the tribute. The Washington Commanders, representing the nation's capital, were facing off against the Atlanta Falcons, hailing from Carter's home state of Georgia.
