He may be one of the nation's biggest soap stars, but Andy Whyment has proved he's just like everyone else when it comes to a boozy karaoke session.
The Corrie star, 41, has been living his "best life in the Maldives" during his current getaway, and that includes treating fellow holiday-goers to a drunken rendition of the karaoke classic Angels by Robbie Williams with a pal.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the Kirk Sutherland actor delighted his 399,000 followers by sharing a clip of the moment he took to the 'stage', drunk and topless, and showed off his vocal skills.
"Two drunk 41 year olds me and @davidtaylor2903 living there best lives in the Maldives @sunsiyamvilureef HAPPY HOLIDAYS," Andy captioned his stint singing in the sun.
In the clip, the actor can be seen sporting a bit on sunburn on his shoulders, as he belts out Robbie's much-covered 1997 smash-hit song alongside his friend in just a pair of patterned blue swim shorts.
The star, who has been a regular on the cobbles since May 2000, appeared to be taking his vocal duties seriously - swaying as he recited the lyrics inside the holiday bar.
Fans and followers loved Andy's update on Wednesday, with one commenting: "You're human Andy, that's why we love you!! Carry on & enjoy."
"Classssss effort mate!! Always up for a laugh, never a dull moment, hope you're having a blast," another quipped underneath the video, with a third joking: "It’s like the new Chaz and Dave."
Tyrone Dobbs actor Alan Halsall also gave some feedback, telling his Coronation Street co-star and friend: "Any excuse [laughing-face emojis] [love] ya bro."
Andy has been enjoying a break in the Maldives over recent days, captioning a beach snap with loved ones earlier this week: "Another amazing day making memories in paradise although we were missing @tomwhyment @harrisonsmith2608 and little Grayson as they were playing pool."
"How do you explain that Tan on the street," one follower enquired on Tuesday, to which to long-time soap star replied: "it’s been sunny in Weathefield [laughing-face emojis]".
Responding to fans commenting on his sunburn, Andy also revealed he's had "factor 50 on every day it’s absolutely roasting though" - promising fans he'll "go brown eventually".
Since first appearing on the ITV soap over two decades ago, Andy has become of Coronation Street's best-loved characters.
After appearing on BBC comedy The Royale Family, the dad-of-two paid his first visit to Weatherfield in 2000, going on to become a named character by the end of the same year.
During his time on the Manchester-based series, the actor has won the British Soap Award for Best Comedy Performance and appeared on various other ITV shows, including Dancing On Ice and I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2019.
Away from the cameras, Andy married his long-term partner Nichola in 2007 and the happy couple share two children together, Thomas and Hollie.
