Fans delighted to see 'gentleman' Ken Doherty on Tommy Tiernan Show

Ken Doherty Ranelagh World Championship

Fans were quick to praise 'gentleman' Ken Doherty after his appearance on the Tommy Tiernan Show.

The Ranelagh man, 53, discussed his 1997 World Championship victory and his life on and off the baize on the chat show.

Telling of needing to stand on a biscuit tin when first playing at Jason's Snooker Club, Doherty also told of his adoration for Alex Higgins growing up and their eventual friendship.
