The press conference between Michael Conlan and Leigh Wood got off to a bizarre start as a trumpeter interrupted to begin proceedings.
Conlan and Wood are due to face off on March 12 in Nottingham in their world title fight in what is expected to be one of the best fights of 2022.
And the two fighters are doing back to back press conferences in Nottingham and Belfast on Wednesday and Thursday to promote the bout.
But in a strange twist, Wood had invited a trumpeter as the hometown hero broke out in song, belting out a rendition of Lord Mull of Kintyre, a popular Nottingham Forest chant.
And viewers of the press conference were amused by the unexpected start, with one viewer writing: "An unexpected start"
And those tuning in had mixed opinions as to who is going to come out on top, with one user writing: "Conlan on points as he has soft hands but good feet and mobility."
While another said: "Wood for me."
Those looking to watch the trumpeter can do so in the video below with Wood introducing the musician 0.30 into the video.
