Fan-favorite WR Justyn Ross to sign with Chiefs practice squad

Although Justyn Ross wasn’t consistent enough in the preseason to earn a spot on the Kansas City Chiefs’ 53-man roster, the fan-favorite wide receiver is set to land back on the team’s practice squad.

Ross has had some noteworthy moments on the field, but inconsistency and availability issues made it hard for Brett Veach and Andy Reid to justify carrying him on Kansas City’s active roster at the start of the 2024 season.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the same source that revealed Ross’ release earlier in the week, broke the news on Twitter that Ross would be signed to the Chiefs’ practice squad on Wednesday:

This is good news for the former Clemson Tiger. He will get more time in Kansas City to show what he is capable of and ideally land a spot future roster spot.

Stay tuned to see if the Chiefs elevate Ross to the 53-man roster during the regular season.
