A fan died during the first quarter of the Pelicans-Kings in-season tournament quarterfinal game at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Monday night.
The Sacramento Metro Fire Department responded to a medical emergency at Golden 1 Center at approximately 7:25 p.m. PT, according to FOX40 News. The department was notified that a man in his 30s was unresponsive, and paramedics administered CPR for 20 minutes but were unable to resuscitate him. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kings released a statement about the incident after the game.
