Recently released body camera footage has shed light on a deadly police shooting in Carroll Stream, Illinois. The incident occurred in response to a reported domestic violence situation involving a girlfriend and her partner. Police arrived at the scene in the early hours of February 3rd and swiftly entered the apartment, where two gunshots were heard shortly after they kicked open a bedroom door. The victim, Isaac Goodloe, was shot in the chest and tragically passed away.
Goodloe's family has taken legal action against the Carroll Stream Police Department and the officers involved, filing a federal lawsuit. The family's attorneys have criticized the police's handling of the situation, describing it as excessive force and a failure to protect Goodloe.
