A mum claims she experienced a 'holiday from hell' in an all-inclusive TUI resort with her room stinking of 'raw sewage'.
Shauni Reed, from Kent, headed to Tossa De Mer, Spain, as part of a gift from loved ones, but said the trip turned into a nightmare - with the food covered in fly eggs and staff threatening to call police over the family's choice of clothing.
Pictures taken by the 30-year-old show the rancid fly-ridden food, her grubby insect-infested bathroom, birds nesting in the hotel walls and vegetation appearing to take over parts of the hotel.
Shauni was gifted the relaxing seven days in Spain by a family member as a present and couldn't wait to relax in the sun with her family group of five children and five children.
But once Shauni arrived at the resort and checked into her room, she says she was met with the disgusting and pungent scent of sewage wafting through her room.
And if that wasn't bad enough, she says there were insects throughout the room, which looked like it hadn't been cleanedin years.
Shauni had looked at the cleaning rota in the resort and realised that one of the bathrooms had not been cleaned since 2021 according to the schedule.
Although this was bad enough for Shauni, the holiday nightmare didn't stop there as they made their way down to the all inclusive buffet.
She claims they had to wait over an hour to even get into the buffet restaurant in the resort, and once they were in Shauni was disgusted at the sight of flies, insects and fly eggs all over the food on offer.
Shauni says she was taken aback by the rancid display of food at the three-star hotel, and decided that for the whole week they would only eat outside of the resort, meaning their all inclusive price tag was worthless.
Although the unclean room and the inedible food was enough to turn Shauni's stomach, the staff at the resort were no consolation as one of the staff members threatened to call the police on Shauni's family member within the first hour of being there because they were wearing a pool top on top of a swimsuit, she claims.
Shauni says she was appalled by the treatment she and her family got from the staff, and was even shouted at by the lifeguard in such a 'rude' manner that the manager of the hotel apologised on their behalf and promised that the lifeguard would not be working for the rest of the week, but they were back only two days later.
After complaining to the hotel, Shauni got no solace so she complained to the holidaymakers TUI, and they were assured that they would be moved to a different hotel.
However, the week went on and nothing happened and Shauni and her family were forced to stay in the horrific conditions as every other hotel nearby was booked up so they couldn't independently stay somewhere else either.
"The food was inedible, with flies and fly eggs on the food," she claims. "You had to cue for about an hour to even get in there. The place was unclean and filthy.
"The staff were rude and threatened to call the police on us within the first hour of being there. My room smelled of sewage."
After the first day, Shauni couldn't wait to fly back home to England and leave the holiday from hell behind.
"Even though TUI said they would move us, nothing happened," she said.
"The lifeguard was so rude, even the manager apologised and said she wouldn't be there for the rest of our stay. Two days later she was back.
"The staff threatened to call the police for wearing a pool top on top of a swimsuit. The food was inedible, we ate in the town and never ate at the all inclusive. We wanted to leave and couldn't wait to be home."
Shauni was incredibly disappointed with the outcome of the holiday and swears she will never return to that part of Spain again.
"The reviews were good of the place. It looked good at first, but we couldn't wait to be home.
"I would still go to Spain, just not to that part again."
