Family-run Bristol restaurant serving subs, street food and build-your-own pizzas

“You’re joking, not another one!” I have to say I do tend to channel my inner ‘Brenda from Bristol’ when I see more pizza restaurants opening across the city.

There was a time when I had the same reaction to the number of burger joints springing up. But these days it seems to be pizzerias, and especially on Gloucester Road.

Walking the short distance to The Dough Kitchen the other evening, I passed at least a dozen places serving pizzas of varying quality and price points. These included popular sit-down places like Pizzarova, Planet Pizza, Purezza, La Fiorentina and Bomboloni, but also a plethora of other cheaper takeaway joints banging out pizzas alongside the kebabs and cheesy chips.
