A family has painted a massive Union Jack on their house black - after wanting to pay their respects to the Queen.

Alex Tate, 52, and his wife Vivienne, 50, from Richmond-upon-Thames, originally painted their home in the patriotic colours of red, white and blue to win the best decorated house for a Jubilee street party.

But after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the family changed the colours on their Teddington home to tones of black, white and grey.
