A family owned estate in the Lincolnshire countryside has struck a deal with a local events company to start hosting tipi weddings.
The Revesby Estate, near Boston, is working with wedding specialist The Tipi Tribe to have wedding ceremonies and receptions in its pretty gardens.
The historic estate already has a number of revenue streams including property rentals, commercial units, farming, storage and offices.
The Tipi Tribe has a team of nine and caters for weddings across Lincolnshire. It was founded by Jon Oaten, Andy Hutton and Graham Pearson after they were asked to supply a wedding tipi when they were trying to start an outdoor events company.
Revesby Estate chief executive Peter Wiggins-Davies said: “We’re so thrilled to have received our wedding licence and we can’t wait to begin our partnership with The Tipi Tribe.
“Our stunning grounds will make the perfect backdrop for these events.”
The full wedding package includes three tipi tents, a stretch marquee, a fully stocked and staffed bar and decorations.
Tipi Tribe co-owner Jon Oaten said: “We are excited to be hosting tipi weddings at the beautiful Revesby Estate, making a completely bespoke outdoor celebration in this rural location.
“We will be including three beautiful tipis – with the option to add more if required and a stretch marquee as a stunning, practical ceremony space.
“Couples can get married either there, outside the tipis or in the beautiful Rose Arboretum.
“This fantastic venue allows couples to have the benefit of a one-stop site, where guests can park up, witness the ceremony and begin the party without having to leave to go to another venue.”
The tipis will stand in the Kangaroo Park – once home to kangaroos imported from Australia –which is now home to deer which were first introduced in the grounds in 1917.
