The family of Vicky Phelan have invited the public to a celebration of her life next weekend.
Vicky passed away on November 14 in Milford, Co Limerick from terminal cancer after years of public advocacy. Tributes have been paid nationwide following her death, with Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald describing her as a “champion of women.”
The 48-year-old’s family posted on the Facebook page Vicky’s Tribe, thanking the public for their support before confirming the event. The celebration will take place in her hometown of Mooncoin, Kilkenny, but will also be available to view online due to limited numbers.
