There were heartbreaking scenes at the graves of tragic Tallaght twins Christy and Chelsea Cawley as their close family and friends marked the siblings 9th birthday.
Tragic Christy and Chelsea and their older sister Lisa, 18, were killed in their own home in Rossfield Avenue in south Dublin on September 4. Their older brother Andy Cash, 24, was later charged with their murder.
On Wednesday, November 2, All Saints Day, Christy and Chelsea would have turned nine years of age.

To mark the tragic twins' birthday, close family members and friends gathered at their graveside where they adorned the beautifully decorated graves with pink and blue balloons and large banners featuring photos of the twins captioned with ‘Happy heavenly birthday our little twins.”
The heartbroken family sang ‘Happy birthday’ while holding pink and blue balloons before releasing the balloons into the sky at Bohernabreena cemetery.
A special birthday cake for the twins was placed at the front of the grave while a firework sparkler was let off.
Prayers were also said at the graveside by Fr Paul O’Driscoll, Parish Priest of the Travelling People.
At the home where Lisa, Christy and Chelsea tragically lost their lives, the front closed gate was adorned with balloons and teddy bears to mark the twins' birthday.
Their cousin Nan Cawley shared a heartbreaking post on Facebook where she wrote: “Christy and Chelsa. Today is All Saints Day. Use (sic) are 9 today. Life is so unfair that it has to be like this. You will be forever loved and missed. Forever in our hearts. Lisa, Christy, Chelsey, Our 3 angels.”
On the night of their deaths, Lisa, Christy and Chelsea’s 14-year-brother Mikey managed to escape the scene. However, he was injured and received treatment in hospital.
Last month, as the three siblings’ Months Mind was marked, their sister Margaret, 23, told us: “We’ll never accept what happened to them. It’s very hard. We’re not coping at all and just trying to take it second by second.”
She also said that she and her mother Margaret Cash McDonagh will never return to the house where the tragedy unfolded.
At the time of the three siblings’ shocking deaths, Minister for Justice Helen McEntee said: “The killing of three young family members is a tragedy, so awful and heart-breaking. It is difficult to comprehend.
“My thoughts are with the family and the local community as they deal with this unimaginable crime.”
