Child killer Mark Bonini has lost a new bid for freedom after the victim’s family demanded he remain behind bars.
Bonini has served 17 years of a life sentence for murdering toddler Andrew Morton by shooting him in the head with an airgun he had modified to increase its power. But a fresh attempt to get out of jail has now been rejected by the Parole Board.
Andrew’s mum and dad, Sharon McMillan and Andy Morton, told the Daily Record they were delighted Bonini would remain off the streets for at least another year.
