A family of nine have spent two years living in an overcrowded three-bedroom council home. They say there is not enough help for larger families
David Payne, 49, and his wife Danielle, 34, from Godalming in Surrey have seven children. Waverley Borough Council's own environmental health officer last November said the home is 'seriously overcrowded' and poses a severe threat to the family's health and safety.
Their youngest child is two and sleeps in their bedroom with them, SurreyLive reports. The oldest is 16 and sleeps in the living room downstairs, while the five other children share the remaining two bedrooms.
