The family of a murdered man urge people "to do the right thing" in a heartbreaking poem.
Adam Ellison, 29, was walking home from the pub with friends in the early hours of November 4, 2017, when they encountered a gang of thugs in a pedestrianised area in Market Place, Prescot. An altercation occurred after a motorbike nearly crashed into them.
One of two men on a green and white Kawasaki KX 85 Big Wheel off-road bike lashed out with an unknown weapon causing devastating injuries to Adam's neck. The 29-year-old was rushed to hospital but later died from his injuries.

Police are still hunting for Adam's killer despite numerous media appeals, a BBC documentary and a £24,000 reward for information. Following Adam's murder, his family set up the ADAM Foundation in his memory.
It campaigns against knife crime across Merseyside and and supports community initiatives in the Prescot area. On Monday, the foundation published a heartbreaking poem on Facebook, urging people to "do the right thing".
Part of the read: "Little did I know that my life would end right here, 29 year’s old and a full life ahead of me, Little did I know that it was a last goodbye from me, Little did I know that it would be all taken from me, I didn’t deserve this so do the thing for me.
"My mum and dad taught me right from wrong, brought me up right and our love was strong, they really do mean so much to me. My sisters are a big part of me, the three musketeers of our family, I hope they know that they completed me
"Little did I know that my life would end right here, 29 year’s old and a full life ahead of me, Little did I know that it was a last goodbye from me, Little did I know that it would be all taken from me, I didn’t deserve this so do the right thing for me."

The full poem
Enjoying life, living care free
Laughing with friends and just being me
This is what life is all about.
Planning ahead, my future is bright
Telling loved ones what I want in life.
This is just the start of my legacy
Little did I know that my life would end right here, 29 year’s old and a full life ahead of me, Little did I know that it was a last goodbye from me, Little did I know that it would be all taken from me, I didn’t deserve this so do the thing for me
my mum and dad taught me right from wrong, brought me up right and our love was strong, they really do mean so much to me
My sisters are a big part of me, the three musketeers of our family, I hope they know that they completed me
Little did I know that my life would end right here, 29 year’s old and a full life ahead of me, Little did I know that it was a last goodbye from me, Little did I know that it would be all taken from me, I didn’t deserve this so do the right thing for me
the ripple affect of my passing, is a vicious circle for all to see, the grief strikes everyone so differently.
One thing I know is that I am truly missed, hearts are breaking and crumbling, the hardest part is witnessing all of this.
I can’t be there to tell them all that I’m doing ok and that One day soon someone will speak the truth for me, justice will come and you can finally grieve for Me, until then just keep hoping and praying for me
Little did I know that my life would end right here, 29 year’s old and a full life ahead of me, Little did I know that it was a last goodbye from me, Little did I know that it would be all taken from me, I didn’t deserve this so do the right thing for me, my family are broken they need justice for me
Someone out there knows the individual who took Adam’s life…so do the right thing
