A man's body has been found in woodland in Cardiff, South Wales Police has said. The body was found in Marl Park near Channel View Road in Grangetown on Sunday afternoon.
Police have said that there are no suspicious circumstances and that, while formal identification has not taken place, the family of missing man Dean McGhan have been informed. Police previously said there was "real concern" for the welfare of Mr McGhan who has been missing for almost four weeks.
A statement released by South Wales Police said: "A body of a man has been found in woodland in Marl Park near Channel View Road, Grangetown. Although formal identification has not yet taken place, the family of missing man Dean McGhan has been informed.
"The body was found yesterday afternoon (Sunday, December 11). There are no suspicious circumstances. Dean, 36, was last seen on Clive Street walking towards Ferry Road in Grangetown at around 4pm on Thursday, November 17. Enquiries will continue on behalf HM Coroner. Thank you to those who shared our missing person appeals. Our thoughts are with Dean’s family and friends."
