South Wales Police is appealing for anyone with any information about a missing elderly man to get in touch with them as soon as possible. The family of Vivian Davies, aged 87, are said to be becoming increasingly concerned for him as he hasn't been seen since the morning of Sunday, May 21.
The latest statement from officers says: "Help Us Find: Vivian Davies, aged 87, was last seen on Maes Ty Canol, Baglan, around 8.30am on Sunday, May 21. Specialist officers have been searching for him since he was reported missing and now want to speak to a woman who may have information which could help us find Vivian.
"It is believed that sometime between 5.30pm to 6pm yesterday evening, Monday, May 22, an elderly man was found to have fallen over on the cycle path from Cwmavon that leads to Pontrhydyfen - it's the path between Piggery Bridge and the Gorad Bridge. We understand that the man who had fallen was helped by an unknown woman." Inspector Mike Lewis added: "I would ask this woman to contact us as she may have information which could prove helpful to our enquiries. Vivian's family and friends are growing increasingly concerned and they just want to know he is safe and well. If anyone has any information, please do contact us."
Vivian has been described as being of slim build with grey hair. He is around 5ft 2in in height and was last seen wearing knee-length dark shorts, and a long-sleeved striped top. He had a rucksack at the time he was last seen.

The update comes after South Wales Police Swansea and Neath Port Talbot confirmed specialist search-trained officers had been sent out to look for Mr Davies, and after officers thanked volunteers for their involvement in the search.
"Thank you to all volunteer search teams for your assistance in helping us find Vivian," officers said on social media. "However, all sightings must be carefully managed to ensure that they are properly considered in the context of our overall investigation.
"We ask that all sightings be shared with us [via email, phone or live chat] with the date and time Vivian was seen – if you have a what3words location that would be ideal. This will enable us to highlight where a cluster of sightings have been reported, which we can further investigate."
