A brave Ayrshire's tot cancer appeal has rocketed his hit six figures just weeks after launching.
The race to send Ava Bolton to New York for a miracle drug is heating up after her family announced they had reached the £100,000 milestone.
Donations have soared ever since dad Scott and mum Natalie told of their heartbreak after being told their three-year-old had a rare by very aggressive form of cancer.
Tiny Ava was told she had high risk neuroblastoma which has just a 50 per cent survival rate. The family, from Mauchline, were dealt the devastating blow after first hoping their little girl just had a virus.
But they found a glimmer of hope in a new vaccine being trialled at the Memorial Kettering Centre in the Big Apple, costing £250,000.
Ayrshire Live first told how the family were desperate to do whatever it takes to give Ava the best chance of beating the cruel disease. Now just over a month later they have secured an incredible chunk of the quarter-of-a-million needed.
Fundraisers up and down Ayrshire and beyond have all chipped in. Selfless individuals have walked, ran, or painted all in aide of the Ava. And the family shared a moving video of the brave tot showing pictures of her in hospital and smiling at home.
Last night the family paid a heartfelt thanks as they announced the new total.
A statement on the Facebook page Help Our Ava read: "Thank you to each and every person and business who has supported us with our fundraising for Ava.
"Tonight our fundraiser has hit a massive milestone of £100,000 and we couldn't have done it without your support."
It comes just days after Ava enjoyed a bumper weekend on fundraising with the Bank Holiday proving a major boost to her appeal.
Ava took centre stage at the Mauchline Holy Fair, enjoyed her very own fun day at Cumnock Town Hall and even started a marathon at her brother's school, Gargieston Primary in Kilmarnock.
