Family lose out on £1.5k holiday after being escorted off cancelled TUI flight by armed cops

A mum has lost out on on a £1.5k holiday to Tenerife following a two-day TUI delay nightmare.

Kelly Clarke and her young son Toby, nine, were set to jet off to Costa Adeje at approximately 5.50pm on May 30.

Despite arriving early at Manchester Airport, the pair were met with "carnage" inside the terminal, with lengthy queues for restaurants and nowhere to sit down, Manchester Evening News reports.
