A West Lothian family is hosting its third charity fun day in memory of a sorely missed loved one.
Ryan Flannigan and wife Laura have again organised the event in Armadale in tribute to Laura's dad Terry McMillan.
And they’re hoping next month’s fun-packed event will add to their already amazing total for Marie Curie and Macmillan.
Ryan said: “After last years success we’ve went all out this year and there will be plenty for all ages - including some amazing inflatables - and even a few things the adults can get a shot of!
“We also have some stalls, face painting, DJ, balloon modelling and more and even Whitburn fire brigade popping down with a fire truck for the younger ones and we will have Chase and JJ from Coco Melon popping down also.
“There will be a wrist band that can be bought on the day for £10 pound this will get access to the inflatables for the duration. Other items such as face painting etc are separate
“We are hoping after last years success where we raised £3000 we can go better this year and hoping all in after this years event we hit the 10k raised make overall
“After last year's event the lads who play in the football collectively got together and formed Terry McMillan FC and we have played games throughout the last year to raise funds and playing in the games have took our overall fundraising total so far to approx £6000.
“My son Oscar and wife Laura had a helping hand with the football team and helped design a badge that we were lucky enough to have two friends businesses step in and sponsor two sets of kits for us (Grays Decor painting and decorators and Brian Durkin of BD Electrical services)
“We are sure we will get a fantastic turn out again and smash the goal of £10,000 raised overall.”
The event will be held on Sunday, May 28 from 12pm until 3pm at Corrie/ Watson park in Armadale.
The charity football match will follow this at Armadale Junior Park with kick-off around 4.30pm.”
