Around 100 family, friends and colleagues have attended the funeral service of former Tory minister Ann Widdecombe.

Politicians and broadcasters were among those who gathered at Buckfast Abbey in Devon, a Catholic abbey where she regularly worshipped and called her “safe haven”.
