Isaac and Danella Tang moved to Taylor because it was what they could afford.
However, while the distance from central Canberra was a "little bit of a downside", Mr Tang said the new build and community feel made the area attractive to the young couple.
"It's got a really family-friendly vibe to it," Mr Tang said.
