A family have claimed that their new home is 'haunted' as they smell rotten eggs and a hear girl crying. Jon Paul Kennedy and his partner, Kymmi Jeffery, are putting up cameras to capture their home's spooky moments.
The family are all fascinated with the ghostly feel of the property that they moved into into September 2022. Wales Online reports that the couple's two young children - Snow, 10, and Pebble, six - are just as invested as their parents.
Jon, a teacher, from Cheshire, said: “We thought we had a gas leak because it was smelling like rotten egg. We called an engineer out and he couldn’t find a leak. Suddenly the smell just vanished. Sulfur smells can be associated with demons.”
Kymmi is also convinced that there is something supernatural going at the property. She said: “The other night I woke up at 3am and heard a girl crying. I checked on Snow and Pebble but they were fast asleep. We’re going to buy cameras to try and capture anything.”
The couple have always had a keen interest in the supernatural and recently started a ghost-hunting business. Their venture was started in August 2022 after going on a tour for Kymmi’s birthday.
Jon said: "Kymmi was very sceptical about it all when she first met me. I bought her a ticket to a haunted house for her birthday and we picked up a pink spirit ghost on camera.”
The interest is not just the couple though as the whole family visit supernatural sites together in a hearse called Morticia. They also claim their daughter, Snow, can see ghosts and demons.
Jon added: “She saw these really long fingers on a ghost hunt. She keeps picking up stuff in the house. The girls loved being involved with experiments on our different artefacts.”
Kymmi claims that Pebble also has a keen interest in all things supernatural. She added: “Pebble finds it hilarious. She put out all her Barbies to see if they would move. They’d moved when she woke up and she was adamant it wasn’t her.”
The family says they are regularly contacted by their community to investigate hauntings. The parents claim they take Pebble and Snow along with them to supernatural scenes.
Kymmi said. “Were known as the haunted family. We get named the Addams family or the Warrens. We’ve had builders stop and stare out our hearse on the driveway and take pictures of it. It was great to fit the Christmas tree in. We’re hoping to find more evidence from our investigations.”
