Covid infections have fallen in every area of the Liverpool City Region.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, in the week ending July 30, the Liverpool City Region saw a week-on-week percentage change figure fall of 31%.
There were 2,051 infections in the Liverpool City Region in the week ending July 30, which is 913 fewer cases than the previous seven days before.

The week-on-week percentage change figure falls in the individual areas of the LCR in the week ending July 30 were: 26% in Liverpool; 34% in Knowsley; 38% in Halton; 28% in St Helens; 29% in Sefton; and, 37% in Wirral.
There were falls in Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington and West Lancs.
In the whole of England, there was a fall of 34% in the week ending July 30.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 617 cases in the week ending July 30, which is 213 fewer cases than the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 26%. The latest infection rate was 123.3 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 415 cases in the week ending July 30, which is 240 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 37%. The latest infection rate was 128.0 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 175 positive tests over the last week - that's 106 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 38% in Halton in the week ending July 30. The latest infection rate is 134.9 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 286 cases in the week ending July 30, which is 110 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in St Helens is 157.9 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 28%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 165 cases in the week ending July 30, which is 84 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 108.2 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 34%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 393 cases in the week ending July 30, which is a 160 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate is 142.4 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases decreased by 29% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 2,051 positive tests over in the week ending July 30, which is 913 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change decreased by 31%. The latest infection rate is 120.45 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 306 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending July 30, which is 143 fewer cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure decreased by 32%. There was an infection rate of 146.13 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 438 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending July 30, which is 169 fewer cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure decreased by 28%. There was an infection rate of 127.39 per 100,000 people.
West Lancs
There were 145 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending July 30, which is 94 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate in West Lancs is 126.64 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage decreased by 39% in cases.
England
In the week ending July 30, England recorded 62,712 coronavirus cases, which is 31,624 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. The week-on-week percentage decreased by 34% in England. There was an infection rate of 110.90 per 100,000 people.
